Ben op zoek naar bijval. Ik heb vanochtend Before the coffee gets cold uitgelezen en ik ben echt een beetje geïrriteerd door hoe slecht dit geschreven was. Zoveel herhalingen en onnodige uitleg.
Voorbeeld van onnodige uitleg
Dit soort dingen:
‘Hirai,’ Kei said as she approached holding a letter. ‘I still have it.’
‘You didn’t throw it out?’ She recognized it instantly. [Dan denk ik: het is duidelijk over welke brief het hier gaat. Hirai herkent de brief, de lezer herkent hem ook, maar Kawaguchi voegt alsnog toe:] She was pretty sure it was the one Kumi had written and left at the cafe three days ago. [En voor als je echt echt echt alles was vergeten:] She had asked Kei to throw it out without having read any of it.’
Waaaarom?
